Ray J. Bettinger

 

President and Broker

Ray J. Bettinger started his career in real estate in late 1983. He has experience in many facets of the business including new home sales, residential leasing and residential property management.

He and his family have owned ERA-Bettinger Realtors, Inc. since November 1986.  He is currently the President and Broker for the company.

Over the years Ray has held many positions in the real estate industry such as 1991 Chairman of the Leasing Managent Division of the Austin Board of Realtors, member of the ABoR Budget committee, Chairman of the ABoR Grievance committee, current member of the ABoR Property Management committee. and current member of NARPM-National Association of Residential Property Managers. He was also instrumental in developing the original property management and leasing forms currently available thru the Texas Association of Realtors.

Ray has been a resident of Austin since 1978.

Beth Bettinger

Vice President

Being the eldest of 10 children, Beth Bettinger’s youth was filled with many activities and hard work.  Her parents and brother started their family owned business over 26 years ago. It has developed into a very strong, diverse company with a very recognizable international company.   Beth’s main focus since 1993 is assisting sellers and buyers (including investors) reach their goals.  Besides filling her office of Vice President of the company, she is the leasing agent for the Austin Property Management Department.  Her designations of GRI, CRS, and ABR were earned many years ago.  Current hobbies  include spending time with family, especially her 3 children and 3  grandchildren, in addition to traveling, camping and gardening.

Chris Tarango

Property Manager

Chris joined ERA-Bettinger Realtors in April of 2013.  He began working in the real estate industry in 2005, and has over 8 years of property management experience. Early on, Chris gained much of his experience with a small property investment company & developed a fundamental understanding of many aspects within the industry.

In 2007, Chris relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to manage real estate assets abroad. There he oversaw a company’s finances, employees, and assets throughout five countries. Chris was also closely involved in the sale of multiple real estate properties, including investments in Hong Kong and a development project in Malaysia that sold for a record breaking price at the time.

From 2008 to 2012, Chris was instrumental in the research, acquisition, and resale of bulk residential properties packages (REO), in several states throughout the U.S. He is also experienced in marketing & leasing several types of properties in the Central Texas area.

Now back in Austin, Chris focuses on Austin Property Management full time with ERA-Bettinger Realtors, Inc.

Katrina Harris

Property Accounts Manager

In April of 1996, Katrina joined ERA-Bettinger as a receptionist.  Since then, Katrina has had many roles within the company.  From Administrative Assistant, Agent’s Assistant, Executive Assistant, and even babysitting for Bettinger grandbabies, Katrina can be described as the company’s “Jack of all Trades”.

Katrina was awarded Team Player of the Year twice, once in 1998 and again in 2002.  She eventually transitioned into the Property Management Department as an Executive Assistant.  Her duties range far and wide including: repair request, rent collection, processing rental applications, and some accounting.

Most tenants know Katrina’s voice very well!  With her latest promotion to Property Accounts Manager, Katrina is still very passionate about learning new things within the Austin property Management industry.  Among her many new duties are AP/AR, deposit returns, owner statements, and much more.

When she is away from the office, Katrina loves spending time with family & doggies, gardening, cooking and sewing.

 

Mariela Munoz

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Mariela joined ERA-Bettinger Realtors®, Inc in September 2014.  Mariela or “Mari”, is the first person you encounter when visiting or calling our office.  Her many responsibilities include administrative assistance to the company broker, repair requests management, and receptionist duties as well.  In her role, Mariela assists with many projects and departments within the company.

“Mari” has quickly become a key team member within the company, and continues to learn more about the property management industry each day.  When she is away from the office, Mariela loves to spend time with her family.  She also enjoys teaching bible study at her church’s nursery on Sundays.
